Strategic plans:

Organization and management of research projects related to kidney transplant fundamental Research to explore new methods to replace a failing kidney invention and the implementation of practical policies for the benefit of kidney patient strans planted to enjoy maximum quality of life after transplantation.

Prospect:

Research Center of complications of renal transplantation in order to fulfill vision of human resources in 1404is hoping to benefit from capable and helping leaders to become one of the most important research centers for kidney transplants in the world with meaningful and relevant research, promote development of new knowledge and the results of this research complications in renal transplant patients require a maximum benefit.

Goals

General purpose: contributing to the development of medical knowledge in the field of kidney transplantation and efforts to reduce the complications of renal transplantation

Specific objectives:

• Development of human knowledge in the prevention and treatment of complications of renal transplantation
• Enhance the quality of life in patients with kidney transplant
• Research Center of the University of complications of renal transplantation by the end of the first half of 1392
• Communicate actively with other research centers in at least one joint research project in the second year
• Communicating with international research centers, especially Iranians residing abroad and using their scientific capabilities
• Trained professionals in the field of kidney transplant complications (PhD Research)
• Seminars and workshops for nurses to be familiar with the effects of kidney transplant
• Short-term training courses to know before transplantation in patients with end stage renal failure and renal transplant complications.
• Prioritize, conduct, facilitate and monitor research projects related
• Research priorities developed complications of renal transplantation in the first half of 1392
• Providing a database of research done so far on the kidney transplant at the University
• Undertaking a needs assessment in relation to the applied research necessary

Practical purposes:

• Development of qualitative and quantitative research on kidney transplant
• New drugs needed kidney transplant patients with National Base
• Development-related research stem cells transplant in order to mitigate
• Improved management of complications of renal transplantation on the basis of academic standards
• Longevity of grafts performed
• Help increase the quality of life in patients after renal transplantation in the cultural, social, and economic and health

Introduction 

Transplants in patients with organ failure, measure and improve the quality of life of patients is one of the most dynamic and practical achievements of medicine in the world and the most important signs of improving medical knowledge and medical centers can be considered scientific and technical capabilities. Kidney transplantation is presented in a tertiary health services (rehabilitation), to patients who have kidney failure.

There are 32 kidney transplant centers in Iran. Organ donation from brain-dead donors and 771 kidney transplants from brain-dead donors in 2011 have been done in the country, and till now 31,949 kidney transplants have been performed. However, despite all these efforts are currently about 36,700 patients in the country are suffering from kidney failure.

We have about a thousand people on the waiting list for kidney transplants from brain-dead donors in the geographical center of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

Presidential administration center are a founding member, central council members, members of the Centre is a specialist. We hoped that with the help of God and colleague’s efforts expand the spread of working in our center and improve the quality and quantity of the transplanted kidney transplant patients in our community needs.
